People Magazine was recently at her shelter, Gemini Rescue, there to do a photo shoot for an article about the plight of large, black dogs in shelters. Their adoptable dogs featured in the photo shoot were Koda, Gus , and Duke. Recently adopted Grady also came back for the photo session. Other rescues and shelters confirm that Big Black Dogs are harder to place and they didn't know why, they just were. So they did some Internet research to find that many shelters nationally were stating this on their homepages, some coined it "Black Dog Syndrome".
